Our all-female, diverse team brings decades of experience in strategy, human resources, operations, marketing, finance, training, grant writing, research and organizational development to the table—with a shared commitment to growing missions and transforming lives.

We come from both corporate and nonprofit worlds, united by a common belief: that strategic support, when paired with heart and equity, can spark lasting impact. Each member of our team brings not only deep expertise but also lived experience, cultural awareness, and a passion for lifting others up.

Dr. Darla Shaw

Dr. Darla Shaw is a nonprofit strategist, organizational psychologist, and passionate advocate for equity and human potential. With 25+ years of experience spanning Fortune 500 companies, startups, and mission-driven organizations, she brings a rare blend of corporate insight and heart-centered leadership to Hope Masters.

​

Holding a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology  (Penn State University) and an MBA (Liberty University), Darla also maintains advanced certifications including SPHR, SHRM-SCP, PMP, and Executive Coaching. 

​

Her expertise lies in building inclusive cultures, developing people-centered systems, and guiding organizations through sustainable growth and transformation.

​

A sought-after speaker and upcoming author, Darla’s personal journey—from surviving a white nationalist cult to becoming a fierce champion for diversity and inclusion—deeply informs her work.  She leads with empathy and strategy, helping nonprofits strengthen their infrastructure and empowering individuals to reclaim their futures.

Lucy Rivers

Lucy is a Certified Resume Writer, Career Coach, Marketing & Branding Strategist, entrepreneur, and passionate advocate. With 7+ years’ experience, 2 successful businesses, and a BA and MA in Media, she brings a dynamic, media-savvy approach.

​

A proud Autistic, LGBTQIA+ super geek, Lucy infuses her work with authenticity, empathy, and innovation. She has worked with numerous nonprofits to elevate their presence — redesigning websites, developing compelling content, leading social media initiatives, and launching strategic campaigns that drive engagement and funding.

​​

Lucy leads Marketing & Branding efforts and Individual Career Development & Training — including for those facing systemic challenges such as poverty, disability, or reentry after incarceration.  Her creative mind and strategic leadership shape the organization's voice and its ability to create lasting change for both nonprofits and individuals.

​

In her free time, Lucy is pursuing a PhD in Media, and spending quality time with her family, close friends, and hilarious/adorable cats.

Wanda Morin

Wanda brings 25+ years of expertise in labor relations, training, and human resources, gained through a distinguished career that spans roles from Union President to Vice President of HR within Fortune 500 companies.  Her unique background gives her a deep understanding of both frontline workforce needs and high-level organizational strategy.

​

As a Certified Trainer and seasoned facilitator, Wanda has led initiatives in leadership development, team building, DEIB, communication, and culture-building. She is known for helping organizations scale into inclusive, employee-first environments rooted in mission-driven long-term growth.

​

As Board Secretary, Wanda ensures clear communication, organizational accountability, and smooth coordination of governance. Her strategic mindset and genuine care for people make her a vital part of Hope Masters' leadership—championing both internal integrity and external impact as we serve nonprofits and individuals alike.

Jessica Karl

Jessica is a mission-driven leader who brings heart, creativity, and precision to her role as Treasurer of Hope Masters. With a strong background in finance, entrepreneurship, and a passion for helping others, she ensures our resources are managed responsibly and strategically—so we can maximize our impact in the communities we serve.

Known for her thoughtful approach and innovative thinking, Jessica blends financial oversight with big-hearted vision. She is deeply committed to our mission of empowering nonprofits and individuals, and plays a key role in aligning our operations with purpose.

​

Outside of her work with Hope Masters, Jessica is a devoted wife and mother who leads with empathy in every area of her life.  Her blend of professional expertise and personal care makes her a trusted steward of both our finances and our values.

Amber Wilson

Amber is an experienced operations and talent strategy leader with 14+ years of success managing people, processes, and systems to drive meaningful outcomes. With a background in major firms, she brings deep expertise in organizational management, decision-making, and creating inclusive, people-first experiences.

​

At Hope Masters, Amber oversees internal operations and program systems—streamlining workflows, optimizing resources, and ensuring we operate with both impact and integrity.  

 

She is passionate about helping individuals find their path, and plays a vital role in developing programs that connect underserved communities with job readiness, career tools, and growth opportunities.

​

When she’s not making things run like clockwork, Amber enjoys nature hikes, antiquing, traveling, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.
